FAIRMOUNT PRIMARY CARE CENTER AT GIRARD MEDICAL CENTER

Dear Patients,

Beginning May 1^st, metal detectors will be installed at our Fairmount Primary Care health center at Girard Medical Center. Metal detectors are used across the Girard Medical Center Campus, and it is critical our health center follows the same security measures. The new detectors will be used as a tool to continue creating a safe, weapons-free environment for all patients and staff as they receive and provide quality health care.

Please know that all patients and visitors entering our health center after April 1^st will need to walk through the metal detector to confirm complete safety for all our staff and patients. If you have an appointment at our FPCC-GMC location, please do not carry any weapons into our health center.

At all our DVCH health Centers, we have a strict no-weapons policy, and these measures are only to reinforce the safety for all patients.

Fairmount Primary Care Center at Girard Medical Center (FPCC-GMC) offers comprehensive adult primary care services including routine physicals, sick visits, chronic disease care, COVID testing and vaccines, HIV and Hepatitis C care, women’s health care including pap smears, Medication-Assisted Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder, medicolegal support, and focused behavioral health care services as part of Delaware Valley Community Health Inc.’s (DVCH) commitment to improving access to high quality healthcare. In 2021, FPCC-GMC achieved recognition as a Pennsylvania Opioid Use Disorder Center of Excellence. DVCH is proud of the continued growth of FPCC-GMC which began in 2016 through a collaboration with Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard (formerly Girard Medical Center) to meet the need for primary care on the Girard campus.
